Mansion Houses of Carmyllie


Guynd House


The Guynd Mansion house was built in 1817, under the jurisdiction of John Ouchterlony, 20th Laird of the estate, in close proximity to the Garden House, (the Ouchterlony residence since the 17th century).

Plans for the Mansion were drawn by James Patterson, Edinburgh, the same architect that designed Fasque House, Fettercairn.



Cononsyth

Cononsyth Mansion was built in the early nineteenth century for the proprietor of Cononsyth Estate, consisting of the Home Farm, North Mains, Mid-Mains, South Mains, the Ditch and Smithyton.
